I added coffee grounds and egg shells to the leaves and other plant material and let the rains add the water. I turned it occasionally (when I'd add more to the pile) and we later added it in the Spring to our tomato/green peppers/eggplant garden. Worked out great. Thanks for these tips, Dawn Rae, as today I only have a small deck area outside my apartment door. Now I can have a small 'container' compost area for my indoor plants.
